Course Description:

This 8-hour EPA approved course will train and certify participants as "Renovator" for the new Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting (Lead Renovators) training requirements. The US EPA has new rules for contractors who renovate or repair housing, childcare faculties or schools built before 1978. Under these new rules, contractors and workers must have documented training and practice lead-safe work practices to reduce potential lead exposures during renovation and repair activities. The requirements apply to anyone, such as painters, plumbers, electricians, and contractors, who could potentially expose children to lead dust during their work. This certification has been mandatory since April 2010.
Do not get caught performing such work without proper training and certification!

The cost of our course starts at $245/student (in Lower Michigan), and we can travel and will come to you (We are certified in 38 states) for a custom class. We work hard to keep our prices as competitive as possible. The cost is higher in some locations because of travel costs for the instructor or higher classroom charges. The cost includes all course materials, including a complete student text, and students receive their official Certificate of Completion at the end of the day. Upon completion of this course, students are certified as a "Renovator", and can legally complete lead paint renovations in any of the 38 EPA administered states.
